I Wish I Lived Here: Angela’s Loft

You know how everyone has that one friend who is just effortlessly cool? My friend, Angela, is totally that girl. She listens to bands and goes to music festivals I’ve never heard of. She throws an outfit together last-minute that would take me all day to construct. So of course, when it comes to living spaces, her home is the perfect blend of hip and retro, refurbished and fun. When she and her other half moved into this space several months ago, the girls came over for a book club night and I was immediately in love with what she had done. I might have bordered on creepy-obnoxious the way I wanted to check out every nook and cranny. The older building charm plus renovated modern vibe was sensory overload and I couldn’t take in all of her decor touches that made it “home” fast enough. I loved how absolutely opposite it is from the home we live in – but I could see myself living here in a moment! These two nesters graciously allowed me to come over and take some pics of a glimpse into their super cool life. Isn’t it fun to peek inside homes and see how others live their lives? Enjoy the tour! You can’t miss the apartment numbers here…and I love the mix of fun paint colors throughout the halls. You totally overlook the narrow hallways because of the ultra-high ceilings. Come on in! When you walk in the door you can head up the stairs to the space that C+A have made their master bedroom and an office and hangout spot. Here’s the landing that greets you at the top. Around the corner is a nook that overlooks the living room and they use as a computer spot. Further around the stairs is the master bedroom space. How in love am I with her painted yellow end tables? Very! And the skylight right overhead is beyond awesome. I would never have thought to pick out these lamps myself, but now that I see them in her space, I’m green with envy. Speaking of envy, I resisted stealing some of her fun jewelry while I snooped around with my camera… Here’s a peek over the balcony at the living room. Coming back downstairs, there’s an open bedroom off to the side. Through it is this guest bath. I am in love with the tiled ledge to one side… …and her integration of music love throughout each room. And the lights. I really just love all of it. Peeking at some projects camped out on the desk in the guest room…note to self: come back and steal that clock. Heading through the kitchen with the awesome track lighting, I love the bar they’ve placed under the stairs that doubles as some cookware storage. The kitchen opens into the main living space of the apartment. Swooning over those super high ceilings and the ginormous window. Seriously – with the exception of a lamp or two, this is all natural light! Like I said – super awesome, right? I’m ready to move in! Thanks for touring and a huge thanks to Ang for letting us all take a peek!
